IN CASE YOU WEREN'T ALREADY EXCITED ENOUGH...

...about THE DARK KNIGHT, IESB.net has a great Q&A with the cast and crew, 12 different film clips and over 30 new stills from the film.

OLD MAN, TAKE A LOOK AT MY LIFE...

...I'm a lot like yooooooooou were....

So. I'm 29 today. Yes, almost 30. Yes, almost dead. No, I don't mind. In fact, I feel much older, easily 33 or so. (ha!)

But, even though I get more backaches now and am more out of shape than I've ever been, deep down I'm still a lil' kid. I like toys and cartoons. Take, for example, Molly's gift to me (and Lex) for my birthday present:

I can see the face you're making, and I don't care. I'm excited to go home tonight and play with that with my son! Molly's parents bought me a Sony Cybershot camera since I broke mine out in Six Flags, (damn you roller coasters!!!) so I also got my "typical young male electronics fetish" filled as well.

If any of you have time-traveling abilities and want to get me any of these awesome things that'll be coming out in the coming months, feel free...

De Blob! (video game for Wii)

Gotham Knight
(DVD)

Little Big Planet (PS3 video game that is going to be game of the year!!!)

Resident Evil 5 (PS3 video game)

I'M A SUCKER FOR VH1...

...and their never-ending "I LOVE..." seriesesesseseses.

All this week is I LOVE THE NEW MILLENNIUM and so far, it's fucking awesome.

Except it also makes me feel very, very old. Was the iPod first released in 2001? Really?!

Memento came out almost 8 years ago?! God dammit!

But, at least it gives us something to watch on TV instead of shit like Wipeout, which look to be nothing more than MXC rip-offs. But oh well, Molly wants to watch it and I'm sure it'll give Lex all sorts of wacky new ideas to do with our garden hose! (plus it's hosted by John Henson from Talk Soup...so it could be worse...)

GEORGE CARLIN 1937-2008

This is easily my favorite Carlin bit. I came across it around the same year I was taking a class on Mythology in high school and studying a lot of old religions. I had really been struggling to figure out what the hell I wanted to believe in. (I was raised Baptist, but my mother had died a few years prior and I was starting to question things that didn't seem to make any damn sense.) He raised so many awesome questions AND made the whole thing hillarious. A rare breed in comedy, and in life, he'll be missed.

SORRY FOR NOT POSTING VERY OFTEN...

I assure you it's not because of anything you've done. In fact, I've actually been keeping pretty busy, both with my comics and my reviews!

I try and post my comics weekly over at Comic Stripjoint, but feel free to be my friend over at Flickr where you never know what craziness I might end up posting?!

And I'm sure I've mentioned it here before, but aside from my weekly, albeit smaller, Foxymoron strip being in the Thursday Preview section of The Kansas City Star, I also do an entire page of comics and whatnot for INK and write music and movie reviews for them as well!

Some recent samples:

The Happening
The Strangers

Grand Theft Auto IV

Scarlett Johannson * Anywhere I Lay My Head

Foxboro Hot Tubs * Stop Drop And Roll!!!
The Roots * Rising Down

MTV MOVIE AWARDS

...I usually ask myself why I still bother to watch this shit, but then last night, this clip aired and I seriously started coughing because I was laughing so hard!

On a side note, I'm really, really thrilled that Robert Downey Jr. is having the time of his life now. He's always been such a terrific actor and I'm happy to see he's finally getting some appreciation.
